Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill tried to clarify some of his postseason comments during a recent live-streamed video game session.
Hill, you may recall, indicated after a season-ending loss at the Jets that he was “opening the door” to leave the Dolphins, presumably via trade.
Not surprisingly, Hill now says his post-season comments were rooted in frustration.
The parts of Hill’s live-stream that were most interesting:
Hill said he was putting pressure on the Dolphins to “fix” the problems.
Hill said the Dolphins need more “dawgs.”
Hill can cause confusion and angst with some of his remarks, whether they’re in a locker room, on X or on Twitch, during a video game live stream.
It’s not always easy to understand exactly what Hill means or does not mean.
And Hill still hasn’t explicitly said he now wants to stay with the Dolphins.
Will Miami Dolphins trade star Tyreek Hill?
After missing the postseason for the first time in his career, and taking a huge step back in catches and yards in 2024, it seems Hill is asking for things to change.
If there were changes, then perhaps Hill would become more explicit in expressing a desire to stay.
Here are Hill’s most recent comments, as first captured and highlighted on X by @Brittbabi of the Dolphins podcast, “Sideline Tea” on Youtube:
What y’all had heard at the end of the season is frustration, bro. I’ve been winning my whole life, bro. A lot of (people) don’t understand, bro. I bust my (butt) every day. So I deserve to feel like that. I deserve to have some kind of opinion. (Shoot), y’all want me to say oh well get ’em next year? No. F*** that. We have to come back… like… (shoot), we have to put some pressure on them mother*******. Like, hey bro, y’all got to fix this s***, bro. Like come on. Add some mother***** dawgs in this b****.
Hill is a dawg. Some will say it was not very dawg-like to pull himself from the last game of Miami’s season.
