In a shocking press conference, Dan Campbell revealed his straightforward criteria for future Lions coordinators. The head coach made it clear that he’s looking for coaches who can demonstrate one key quality:
“CAN YOU HELP US WIN?”
Campbell emphasized that he’s not looking for flashy resumes or trendy coaching philosophies. Instead, he wants coordinators who can show a clear track record of success and a willingness to adapt to the team’s unique needs.
“I don’t care about your pedigree or your experience,” Campbell said. “If you can’t help us win, then you’re not the right fit for this team.”
Campbell also stressed the importance of finding coordinators who align with the team’s values and culture.
“We’re looking for coaches who are tough, smart, and team-first,” he said. “If you’re not willing to put in the work and make sacrifices for the team, then you’re not going to make it here.”
The Lions’ head coach made it clear that he’s willing to think outside the box and consider unconventional candidates who meet his criteria.
“I don’t care if you’re a former head coach or a positional coach,” Campbell said. “If you can help us win, then you’re going to get a shot.”
What do you think about Dan Campbell’s criteria for future Lions coordinators? Is this the right approach to building a winning team?
