As the Pittsburgh Steelers prepare for the upcoming NFL season, many fans and analysts are expecting significant changes to the team’s roster and coaching staff.
However, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Steelers fans shouldn’t expect any more dramatic changes than what’s happening elsewhere in the league.
“I think people are expecting some kind of massive overhaul in Pittsburgh, but I just don’t see it,” Schefter said on ESPN’s NFL Live. “The Steelers are going to make some tweaks, sure, but they’re not going to blow things up. They’re going to try to build on what they have.”
Schefter pointed out that the Steelers have a strong foundation in place, with a solid core of players and a coaching staff that’s been together for several years.
“They’ve got a good team, they’ve just got to make a few adjustments,” Schefter said. “I think they’ll make some moves in free agency, maybe draft a few players, but it’s not going to be some kind of drastic rebuild.”
Schefter’s comments will likely come as a relief to Steelers fans, who have been bracing themselves for significant changes after a disappointing season.
While the Steelers may not be making any dramatic changes, they’re still expected to be active in free agency and the draft. And with Schefter’s insight, fans can expect a more measured approach to building the team.
