The rivalry between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers is one of the most intense and historic in the NFL. But this season, things just got personal.
According to sources, the Ravens are still seething over the Steelers’ dramatic comeback win last season, which saw Pittsburgh erase a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to steal the victory.
“That game still hurts,” said Ravens linebacker, Roquan Smith. “We felt like we had it in the bag, and then they just took it away from us. We’re still motivated by that loss.”
But that’s not all – the Ravens are also fueled by a perceived disrespect from the Steelers’ organization. According to reports, the Steelers’ coaching staff has been trash-talking the Ravens all season, with some even questioning the team’s toughness.
“They think they’re the big brother in this rivalry, but we’re tired of being disrespected,” said Ravens wide receiver, Rashod Bateman. “We’re going to come out swinging and show them what we’re made of.”
The Steelers, meanwhile, are downplaying the rivalry and focusing on the task at hand. “We know it’s a big game, but we’re not getting caught up in all the hype,” said Steelers quarterback, Russell Wilson. “We’re just focused on executing our game plan and coming out with a win.”
But make no mistake – this game is personal. The Ravens are seeking revenge, and the Steelers are looking to assert their dominance in the AFC North. It’s going to be a battle for the ages.
