Jannik Sinner continues to reign on top of the world rankings while Paris Masters champion Alexander Zverev climbs one spot to No 2 in the updated rankings issues by the ATP Tour on Monday.
Sinner, who pulled out of the Paris Masters due to illness, begins his 22nd week as the world No 1. The Italian has a lead of more than 3,600 points over Zverev, who moves up one spot to equal his career-best ranking of No 2. Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, winner of two of the four Grand Slams in 2024, drops one spot to No 3 after his round of 16 exit in Paris.
Three spots still up for grabs at the upcoming ATP Finals in Turin with Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur currently occupying those positions. Andrey Rublev currently in ninth position still has a chance to qualify depending on how results pan out this week in the ATP events in Metz and Belgrade.
