Duke has signed a four-man 2026 recruiting class that includes Deron Rippey Jr., Bryson Howard, Maxime Meyer, and Cameron Williams. The group is ranked No. 1 in the 247Sports Composite.
Deron Rippey Jr. is a 6-foot-2 point guard from Blair Academy in Blairstown, New Jersey. He is ranked No. 10 overall and the No. 1 point guard in the class. He committed to Duke in December 2025. Rippey played in the 2026 McDonald’s All-American Game on March 31 and finished with 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in 21 minutes. He said he wants to “do whatever it takes to win, whether it’s defense, scoring, passing, whatever it is that coach needs”.
Cameron Williams is a 6-foot-11 power forward from St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix. He is ranked No. 2 overall and the No. 1 power forward in the class. He was the third commitment in Duke’s 2026 class. At the McDonald’s All-American Game, Williams had 9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in 20 minutes for the West team, which won 102-86. Williams said his and Rippey’s “top priority is just to win and get a national championship”.
Bryson Howard is a 6-foot-4 wing from Heritage High School in Texas. He is ranked No. 12 overall. Howard was the first commitment of the class on Oct. 21. He did not play in the McDonald’s All-American Game but is described as a complete scorer who can create from the outside and attack the basket. He helped Heritage to a 24-2 record last season.
Maxime Meyer is a 7-foot center from IMG Academy. He is a four-star prospect ranked No. 94 overall. Meyer is from Canada and gives Duke additional size in the frontcourt.
All four players signed with Duke during the early signing period in November. The class gives head coach Jon Scheyer a point guard, wing, power forward, and center. It is Scheyer’s third No. 1 class in four full recruiting cycles.
Duke has not added any players from the transfer portal yet. Several players from the 2025-26 roster, including Isaiah Evans, Patrick Ngongba, Dame Sarr, Nik Khamenia, Caleb Foster, and Cayden Boozer, are still deciding whether to return, enter the NBA Draft, or transfer. National Player of the Year Cameron Boozer is expected to enter the draft.
The 2026 signees are currently the foundation of Duke’s 2026-27 roster.
