Big Blue Nation, mark your calendars: Big Blue Madness 2025 is officially set for Saturday, October 11, inside Rupp Arena at the Central Bank Center. This year’s event, presented by Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass, is already generating major excitement not just for its shift to a Saturday night, but for a lineup of activities and innovations that promise to make it one of the most unforgettable nights in Kentucky basketball history.
For the first time ever, Big Blue Madness will take place on a Saturday, strategically scheduled during a football bye week to maximize fan attendance and energy. This change is designed to give fans a full weekend to celebrate the start of the 2025–26 basketball season without competing sports distractions.
Adding to the anticipation, the event will feature an interactive LED video floor by ASB GlassFloor, marking the first time a college basketball program has used this cutting-edge technology. Previously showcased at the NBA All-Star Weekend and the FIBA U19 World Cup, the floor will transform the court into a dynamic visual experience, enhancing both player performance and fan engagement.
Big Blue Madness has always been a cornerstone event for Kentucky basketball, serving as a major recruiting showcase and a fan-favorite tradition. With the new Saturday slot, the innovative LED court, and a packed schedule of activities, this year’s event is poised to set a new standard.
Stay tuned to UK Athletics’ social media channels for updates on ticket availability and the full schedule of events. One thing is certain: October 11 is shaping up to be a night to remember in Lexington.
