Blue Devil Nation Can’t Stop Talking About This Wild Summer Moment
It’s only summer, but one Duke freshman is already stealing headlines — and not for the reason you’d expect.
In a now-viral practice clip circulating across social media, Darren Harris, one of Duke’s top incoming shooters, pulled off an audacious between-the-legs dribble move mid-scrimmage — then stepped back and drilled a deep three over sophomore Isaiah Evans… and STARED HIM DOWN.
The gym exploded. Coaches paused the scrimmage. Teammates couldn’t believe what they saw. Some fans are calling it “the boldest moment of the summer.” Others? Not so impressed.
> “He hasn’t played a real college minute yet and he’s already flexing like that?” one fan questioned.
> Another countered: “That’s the type of DOG Duke’s been missing.”
A Star in the Making… or Just Summer Hype?
Harris, known for his elite shooting stroke and quiet confidence, came to Durham expected to space the floor — but no one expected him to make this kind of noise before the season even started.
Now, the debate is raging:
Is this the swagger Duke needs to push for a title?
Or is it too much showmanship from an unproven freshman?
Either way, Darren Harris just turned an ordinary summer scrimmage into must-see content. And the season hasn’t even tipped off.
What do YOU think? Is Harris bringing the confidence Duke needs — or crossing the line with his summer antics?
