The Duke Blue Devils are poised to make a significant addition to their roster as they prepare to host class of 2026 four-star forward Sebastian Wilkins for an official visit on Monday, May 5.
Wilkins, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound power forward from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, is currently ranked No. 28 overall and No. 7 at his position in the 247Sports Composite Rankings for 2026. However, there’s growing momentum around the possibility of him reclassifying to the 2025 class, which would make him eligible to suit up for Duke as soon as next season.
A source confirmed to 247Sports’ Brandon Jenkins that Wilkins will be on campus Monday, and the Blue Devils—who extended an offer just two weeks ago—are considered a strong contender to land him. Wilkins is the top player out of New Hampshire and plays for Brewster Academy, a Nike Elite High School Program and one of the premier basketball schools in the country.
With Duke expected to lose its entire starting five from the 2024–25 season—including Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, Khaman Maluach, and Tyrese Proctor, all of whom have declared for the 2025 NBA Draft—Wilkins could fill a major need in the frontcourt. While Isaiah Evans also entered his name into the draft, the rising sophomore is widely expected to return to Durham.
The returning roster features guards Caleb Foster, Evans (if he withdraws from the draft), Patrick Ngongba II, Maliq Brown, and Darren Harris, giving Duke significant backcourt depth. However, the frontcourt is thinner, making a player like Wilkins an ideal fit for Jon Scheyer’s 2025 squad.
Duke has already added impact forward Cedric Coward from Washington State via the transfer portal, and they currently hold the No. 3 overall 2025 recruiting class per 247Sports. If Wilkins reclassifies and commits, he would be another key piece in an already strong recruiting haul.
Wilkins also holds offers from programs such as Maryland, Boston College, Florida State, and Alabama, but Duke’s recent push could prove decisive. All eyes will be on Durham next week as the Blue Devils roll out the red carpet for a player who could make an immediate difference.
