In a stunning and candid assessment, NBA veteran JJ Redick has issued a chilling warning to the Los Angeles Lakers, urging them to re-evaluate their approach to the game.
Speaking on his popular podcast, “The Old Man and the Three,” Redick delivered a blunt message to the Lakers, saying: “Winning is not enough. You all need to develop a sense of urgency and accountability.”
Redick’s comments come on the heels of the Lakers’ inconsistent performance this season, which has left fans and pundits alike scratching their heads.
“Look, the Lakers have the talent, there’s no question about that,” Redick said. “But talent alone is not enough. You need to have a sense of urgency, a sense of accountability, and a willingness to put in the work.”
Redick, who has played for several teams including the Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, and Philadelphia 76ers, knows a thing or two about what it takes to succeed in the NBA.
“I’ve been around the block a few times, and I’ve seen what it takes to win at the highest level,” Redick said. “And let me tell you, the Lakers are not there yet.”
Redick’s warning to the Lakers comes ahead of their highly-anticipated matchup against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.
