Pope shared his thoughts on the Wildcats’ NCAA Tournament draw, saying, “We’re excited about the opportunity to play in the tournament. We know it’s going to be a tough road, but we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
The Wildcats will face off against the winner of the play-in game between Howard and Illinois in their first game on Friday.
When asked about the team’s preparation for the tournament, Pope said, “We’ve been working hard in practice to fine-tune our skills and prepare for the tournament. We’re feeling confident and ready to go.”
The Wildcats’ NCAA Tournament appearance marks their 60th overall and 12th under Pope’s leadership.
