Former NFL player and current analyst, Domonique Foxworth, also known as Defabo, has sparked a heated debate among Steelers fans with his recent comments about Mike Tomlin’s loyalty to certain players.
According to Defabo, Tomlin’s sense of loyalty to problem players is becoming a major issue for the team, and it’s time for Art Rooney II to step in and address the situation.
“Mike Tomlin is a loyal guy, and that’s one of his greatest strengths as a coach,” Defabo said. “However, there’s a fine line between loyalty and enabling. When it comes to certain players, Tomlin’s loyalty is starting to look more like the latter.”
Defabo’s comments are likely referring to players like George Pickens, who has been involved in several controversies throughout the season. Despite his talent on the field, Pickens’ behavior has raised concerns among fans and analysts alike.
While Tomlin has consistently defended his players and emphasized the importance of loyalty and teamwork, Defabo believes that it’s time for the Steelers’ organization to take a harder stance on discipline and accountability.
“Art Rooney II needs to step in and have a conversation with Mike Tomlin about where the line is between loyalty and enabling,” Defabo said. “The Steelers need to start prioritizing the team’s success over individual players’ interests.”
As the Steelers look to rebuild and retool for the 2025 season, it remains to be seen whether Defabo’s comments will spark any changes in the team’s approach to discipline and accountability.
What do you think, Steelers fans? Should Art Rooney II step in and address Mike Tomlin’s sense of loyalty to problem players? Let us know in the comments!
